Before I went on this trip I knew nothing about Ulysses S. Grant. This really wasn’t good considering he was one the presidents of the United States. Ulysses s. grant must have done good things for this country considering he and his wife have a museum as their final resting place. When Erik first told me we were going to a real tomb, I couldn’t believe that until I saw it with my own eyes. I kind of pictured this place to look like the pentagon from in side out and in side plus high ceilings. When we got to the museum, the outside of it looked like a miniature White House. It was nothing like I imagined it to be. When we got inside we had to answerer some questions and learned a few things about Ulysses S Grant. Two important facts that I learned were that he was born in 1822 and he lived at 10 West 66th which today would be right across the street from the zoo. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys visiting historical landmarks.

Before we went on this trip I had no idea who Ulysses S. Grant. Erik Shold told us he was a famous president. He led the North to victory in the American Civil War. putting an end to slavery. He was elected as a republican president for two full terms. During that time he reduced violence by getting rid of certain groups like Ku Klutz Klan.
When I found out it was his actual tomb that he was buried in with his wife, I was surprised but didn’t feel weird. I expected it to be very shiny like the Egyptians use to do it with a lot of hieroglyphics around it. But when I got there it was very conservative and interesting in its own way. The outside of the building if you ask me is the most interesting because it reminds me of the white house. It has many steps and rows and when I drew it, it looked like a cake stacked up. One important fact that I learned was that he lived in 10 West 66st which today would be located right across the zoo. And he was born in 1822. Till this day his tomb is recognized and visited by tourists all over the world.
I’d recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys visiting history sites. In my opinion this trip wouldn’t have been one of my top choices but I appreciate going on it because it’s not everyday I’ll visit these types of places.

A lot of movies are filmed in New York City because of it has a lot of famous sites. Also you can find many diverse communities. That I can think of I don’t know many movies that were filmed in NY but one which is Uptown Girls. I feel proud to live here knowing people all over the world travel her, considering it a must see site.
During the movie I started to like the character named Buggin Out. But to me he started to get annoying. He was too persistent with what he believed should be done that his determination could almost be confused as obssession. But he always spoke his mind till the end with no second thoughts, which I admired. Buggin Out felt the wall in Sams’ Pizzeria should reflect his neighborhood. My favorite scene from the movie is when a riot starts thanks to Radio Raheem and Buggin Out causing a lot of fan fare.
The neighborhood plays a big role in this movie mainly because the kids take a lot of pride in reppin where they grew up. In the end I believe Mookie did the right thing after all. The right thing in this movie was to do what you believe is right, not let others tell you otherwise. This movie is a great flick to see on a rainy day home, it just makes you feel strong.

When I heard we were going to see sculptures in my mind I immediately pictured a fancy high ceiling museum with something close to roman sculptures. The farthest thing I had from my mind was that this museum was a park. I mean I ask myself how much can actually be perserved in a public park. And with the temperature being near 20 degree it was freezing. But in my opinion that makes it even more exciting.
The sculpture that caught my eye was titled “Mama i wanna do the damn thang B fresh to def N let my balls hang” by Changemire Semakokiro. I found it very interesting because it was basically an iron stick with plastic balls on top. To think something so simple can be considered art and leave people in awe is amazing. Another one that I like was one that had a huge almost human size black crow with tires around it. To me it seemed to have a deep meaning, something like it’s suppose to have a ‘More than meets the eye’ sign underneath it.
Overall I would recommend this trip to anybody because even if you might not enjoy looking at the abstract sculptures at the same time you’ll enjoy the beautiful view. Being around different sculptures you don’t see on a daily baises’ is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss out on.

Hi my name is Stephanie Perez and I attend LandMark High School. I enjoy being part of LandMark its fun here and you meet interesting people.During my freshman year I was kind of lonely I didn’t know any one here but then I met alot of great people. We have great teachers you have fun learning new things each and everyday.Every Fridays we go on trips you learn more about New York and you get to see lots of Mueseums and parks.
The trips I am focusing are on Brooklyn Mueseum,The Feast Of Saint Gennaro,Rockefeller Center and the Film Do The Right Thing. When i went to the Brooklyn Mueseum I saw lots of art work and life size sculptures it was really fun and interesting. During the Feast Of Saint Gennaro theres lots of Italian food , rides ,music, and entertaiment. Its just a big celebration of Italian history. Rockefeller Center was exciting but at the same time it was bad because it was frezzing and there was so much people running around just to go see a very tall amazing tree. Theres an IceSkating Rink and lights it was a fun trip. When I saw Do The Right Thing it started off boring but then little by little it started to get funny and interesting. The movie reminded me of everyday life. It was sad when Radio Raheem got killed by the cops it was a sad way to die.
I think LandMark is a fun school to attend I would recomend this school to lots of kids who are going to the 9th grad. Thes trips made me realize how much fun things you can do in New York and how much fun you can have.
Before this trip I think I expected to see how water is evaporated and how they test the different pressures of water.
On the trip I leaned that we need to start using less water and start saving it I also learned how tsunamis are formed under the water due to earthquakes and currents under the water.
The first thing I saw that related to my biology class was I how they take the water and make it clean again, it’s called the waste cleaning process in River Bank State Park. The other thing I saw that had to do with biology was the different water cycles that cause the weather changes.
The one thing I would have to say I like about the trip would be learning little bit more about the water I am drinking This stuff does have to go in my body.
The one thing I did not like about the trip is seeing the whole process of how the water is cleaned at Riverbank State Park.
I would recommend his trip to a friend and if I had to grade this trip I would grade it a 10 out of 10
I wanted to go on this trip really badly because I love art and I enjoy graffiti . I have been there before but i just wanted to go again because I didn’t know if they had new artwork on the walls or if they had the same ones. I was excited to go because I wanted to see what new thing they came up with.
In this trip we went to 5-pointz (graffiti world)
.I was happy to go because I like art and I love graffiti so i was nice to go there. This time they had new artwork on the walls,Like this art work that attracted my attention a lot . It attracted my attention because of the colors and because it was half clown and half skull.

I had a lot of fun because i enjoy looking at artwork but I like looking at graffiti. I think graffiti is better because is hot what you can do with a spray can. I also like it because i do graffiti with air brush at home when I don’t have anything to do. Or if I want to do something fun or just draw something on a shirt or one of my friends. I really enjoyed this trip..
After trip i was i had to say that the trip was really fun not because i love art but because when u see one of those pieces of art it gives you a story. If i was to rate this trip i will give it a 10 because it had new pieces of art work on the walls and i had fun just looking at the work of the artist.I will recommend this trip to a person that loves graffiti because he should have fun looking the art just like i did.
Before this trip i didnt know who was Ulysses Grant but i heard of him .I feel good that we visiting someone famous tomb. When I heard Grants tomb i thought it would like “Tall grass with a giant tomb that says Ulysses Grant going across it.Two things I learned that 1. One thing I like about this trip the way the building look like a mini White House. I would recommend
